Hi Guys, I have a Braille Lite 40 display. I plug it into /dev/ttyS0, and boot SuSE Linux installation. A sighted friend tells me that it says "probing for braille displays" and then launches setup; nothing appears on my display. My display is in "Speech box mode" which is the usual thing to do when using the Braille Lite as a braille display. Any help would be appreciated. Anyone elese out there using the Braille Lite with SuSE-BLinux? Kindest regards, Saqib Shaikh
Hi sir, I do not know what version of Linux you are using but my proposal would be to include your BrailleLite40 by hand that means you should only have the BLT40 in the list of displays. All other devices should be outcommented by placing a semicolon in front of each line and then compile the makefile again. Maybe this is not the most elegant solution but I think this should work. Good luck Ferdinand ----- Original Message ----- From: Saqib Shaikh <sshaik@essex.ac.uk> To: <suse-blinux@suse.com> Sent: Wednesday, December 27, 2000 10:29 AM Subject: [suse-blinux] braille lite 40
