I am getting the display initialised, that is to say I get a row of dots in the lower-most cell. This happens with Windows as well before the display is initialised properly. Mine is the ABT340, connected via LPT1. I could try it via a serial port, see if that works. alva displays only supported on the serialport

Which synthesizer does this require? If I could find something which supports the Apollo II, that would be ideal. But I will certainly try any hardware-synth is supported standard is apollo2 and infovox you can modify the config-files for any hardware-synth you only need the controlcodes for it

mbrola is a softspeech via soundcard ok, try it with the serial connection marco
