RE: [suse-autoinstall] wake on lan
Yes, I deploy desktops with Altiris. Altiris takes care of the correct PXE behaviour, i.e. only provide a client with an install when one is scheduled for it (MAC based job assignment). -----Original Message----- From: Roger Oberholtzer [mailto:roger@opq.se] Sent: dinsdag 14 februari 2006 12:54 To: suse-autoinstall@suse.com Subject: [suse-autoinstall] wake on lan Has anyone done a network install of SUSE when the client is started with wake-on-lan? Is this even possible? The reason I ask is I am unsure how you disable a machine from being installed each time it boots. Do you have to turn on/off PXE (or whatever you're using) in the BIOS when you want to change behavior? Or modify the dhcp server's setup? I guess either would work.
