Hi! I'm trying to get autoyast NFS installation working. But I've got 2 problems: 1. I'm installing the standard package selection, but after the install finished there's no kernel installed?!?! Is this intended? Do I need to add it to the packages? 2. My X11 configuration is totally ignored. All I get is the default 640x480 resolution with very few colors. Anyone else having this problem? There was a bug with kernel being not installed, but if I remember correctly it was fixed just before the release. The fix was to add <mode><confirm config:type="boolean">false</confirm></mode> into install/general Can you tell me what autoyast2 version are you running?

Can you please send the x11 resource of the control file? Anas

Ok - I changed it. Test is running. I'll let you know. The xml file was created on a system with the updated version "2.6.35", the install client still runs with "autoyast2-installation-2.6.32-4". Could this be the problem? I'll check out what happens if I use the newer autoyast2-installation, too.

No, it should not. But you are encourged to update to 2.6.35,
I'll check out what happens if I use the newer autoyast2-installation, too.

This looks fine. Is it ignored fully or does the X11 setup run but with different configuration? y2logs would be helpfull here. Anas
