[opensuse-autoinstall] mountby device is not transferred to lilo/SLES 11
Hi, according to bootloader/routines/misc.ycp, the mountby-setting for the device should be transferred to the bootloader config: /** FATE #302219 - Use and choose persistent device names for disk devices * Converts a device name to the corresponding device name it should be * mounted by, according to the "mountby" setting for the device from * yast2-storage. However, although I've chosen to mount by device in my profile (and fstab correctly contains the /dev/sdx stuff), the lilo.conf still contains the /dev/disk/by-id entries. I find a lot of 2009-04-22 15:58:12 <1> cantor(4418) [YCP] bootloader/routines/misc.ycp:630 Dev2MountByDev: /dev/sda2 2009-04-22 15:58:12 <1> cantor(4418) [YCP] bootloader/routines/misc.ycp:640 Default mount by is `id entries in y2log, so obviously the setting is not fetched correctly from the storage module in the Dev2MountByDev function. Could the 2009-04-22 15:48:34 <1> cantor(4418) [YCP] AutoinstStorage.ycp:274 unknown mountby parameter '`device' will be ignored message be related with this? Adding to my wishlist for a driverupdate :-) cu, Frank -- Dipl.-Inform. Frank Steiner Web: http://www.bio.ifi.lmu.de/~steiner/ Lehrstuhl f. that "unknown mountby" is a false alert and can be ignored. Can you create bugzilla entries for the stuff you found? That makes the tracking of the bug a lot more comfortable for me (especially if it's not in the autoyast core and I have to assign it to somebody else). -- ciao, Uwe Gansert Uwe Gansert, Server Technologies Team SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Markus Rex, HRB 16746 (AG Nürnberg) Business: http://www.suse.de/~ug -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-autoinstall+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-autoinstall+help@opensuse.org

Ah, ok! I though that the bugzilla was not for SLES/SLED. I think at least in the past you couldn't select SLED/SLED as product. So I submitted all the current bugs to the SLES support, especially because I thought that much of the stuff is not AY. cu, Frank -- Dipl.-Inform.
