[opensuse-autoinstall] Skip specific storage module during installation
Hi All, I have a system with a fibre channel attached. Is it possible to disable the qla2xxx module when installation starts. Because the ordering of the sda/sdb/sdc will be disturbed with it and a proper configuration of the devices is not possible anymore. Any suggestions are welcome Thanks in advance Regards Ruediger -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-autoinstall+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-autoinstall+help@opensuse.org
Hi, I solved the problem. the kernel append parameter: brokenmodules=qla2xxx did the trick. Regards Ruediger Am 22.07.2010 23:09, schrieb Ruediger Gunreben:

Kernel command line: * Set the option brokenmodules=qla3xxx and load the qla driver during installation or * Set the option instmod with the required modul order on the kernel command line Example: instmod=scsi instmod=qla2000 During installation *Unload the qla driver and other disk modules and load them in the required order. - Yast must be told somehow to "restart the initial configuration."
