You could redirect the out or input to another concole. I did it with the command "chvt TERMINAL" (for example: chvt 11 <-- it is free during the installation)

For my installation process, I need to run an interactive process after the installation.
I tried to use the "<init-scripts>" element of the config file, but the script output goes into the log file and not to the screen. How can one force some output to the console at that time?
The input is read from the console as it should. I use SuSE 9.2.
