JFYI: openSUSE 10.2 Beta1 (i386/x86-64) ready
Hi, With this eMail I want to encourage you to take part of the beta test of openSUSE 10.2. Especially for you, as administrator of an autoinstallation environment, it's important to find problems and bugs during the beta phase. As soon as the 10.2 is gold, we can't do any fixes anymore for autoyast because that requires a patch for the installation system which is on the CD/DVD. So official online updates for autoyast are hardly an option then. To make changes in autoyast a little bit more visible for you I've started a brief overview of what has changed in autoyast since 10.1 The current state of what has changed can be found here: http://www.suse.de/~ug/autoyast_changes_10_1-10_2.html You can download ISOs from: http://ftp.opensuse.org/pub/opensuse/distribution/openSUSE-10.2-Beta1/ If you think you've hit a bug you can either write a mail to this list or (even better) you can use bugzilla to report a bug: https://bugzilla.novell.com Thanks in advance for testing openSUSE 10.2 -- ciao, Uwe Gansert Uwe Gansert, Server Technologies Team SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, Maxfeldstrasse 5, D-90409 Nuernberg, Germany Business: http://www.suse.de/~ug now playing Psyche - 15 Minutes (Lights Out)
