Thank you for your suggestion. My system looks like this
What do your yast/order|instorder files have in them? My directories are similar and I have: cornholio sles9-sp2 {497}$ cat yast/order /SUSE-SLES-9-Service-Pack-Version-2/CD1 /SUSE-SLES-9-Service-Pack-Version-2/CD1 /SUSE-Updates /SUSE-Updates /SUSE-SLES-Version-9/CD1 /SUSE-SLES-Version-9/CD1 /SUSE-CORE-Version-9/CD1 /SUSE-CORE-Version-9/CD1 cornholio sles9-sp2 {498}$ cat yast/instorder /SUSE-SLES-9-Service-Pack-Version-2/CD1 /SUSE-Updates /SUSE-SLES-Version-9/CD1 /SUSE-CORE-Version-9/CD1 -- Mike Marion-Unix SysAdmin/Staff Engineer-http://www.qualcomm.com "The day that Microsoft makes something that doesn't suck is the day that they start making vacuum cleaners." - shaman@kos.net

If that's accurate above, I'd remove the double line in order, and get rid of the blank lines. I don't know if that effects autoyast, but I wouldn't be surprised if it did.
What is /SUSE-Updates?
Path I'm using to put our custom/updated rpms that aren't part of the SLES releases. Also, I notice you talked about 64 and 32bit, you didn't accidentally put the 32bit SP2 files into the 64bit tree, did you? -- Mike Marion-Unix SysAdmin/Staff Engineer-http://www.qualcomm.com Steven: "Are you ok?"
