SLES9 SP2, Pentium D & yast/instorder
Hi I have been trying to autoinstall SLES9 SP2 ( i have been able to install on other iem64 or amd64 motherboards) on a pentium D motherboard. After the installation, 1. when it reboots to boot from the local disk, the hard disk is not recognized as a boot device. 2. I then used SP2 CD1 to repair the installed system. The s/w detected the bootloader settings and did not find any errors. Anyway i went ahead repaired the bootloader installation and was then able to boot from hard disk during the next reboot. This happens everytime the node is autoinstalled using SLES9 SP2. Any idea what causes the bootloader not to be installed properly during autoinstall?? In yast/inorder & yast/order files, should the order of SLES9/CD1 be first followed by SLES9SP2/CD1 ? or is the order reversed? Does this order affect the installation ?? thanks kanji __________________________________ Yahoo! FareChase: Search multiple travel sites in one click. http://farechase.yahoo.com
