Suse 9.3 Pro Network installation
Giving up for today. Given: Boot from DVD , info file on floppy Installation starts fine if i Press F5 before booting . Software is getting installed but then after a while its slowes down until the system looks like under 110% load. On the next run i swiched to a console and started top. It was quiet nice to see how 500 MB of RAM and 1GB of swap space has been eaten like sick. y2base has used about 200 MB ( 3 instances ) on the first and last look today. If anyone can help i would appreciate it. cu Hajo ============================ Hans-Joachim Ehlers UNIX Systems Engineer EUMETSAT Am Kavalleriesand, 31 64295, Darmstadt, Germany Tel : +49 6151 807-7307 eMail : hansjoachim.ehlers@eumetsat.int iNet : www.eumetsat.de

which version auf SUSE Linux do you use? I never heard of that problem before. I assume you can do a manual installation without any problems? -- ciao, Uwe Gansert Uwe Gansert, Server Technologies Team SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, Maxfeldstrasse 5, D-90409 Nürnberg, Germany e-mail: uwe.gansert@suse.de, Tel: +49-(0)911-74053-0, Fax: +49-(0)911-74053-476, Web: http://www.suse.de
