New subject: [suse-autoinstall] Suse 8.1 upgrade Operabrowser problems

Thanks for your patience!

Down here is the result in xterm of your advise. Am I right, that we do have 
to get a link between libXm.so2 and libXm.so.3, but someway it does not 
work. Has it someting to do with permissions? I tried to find the files 
above and also "openmotif" in "find files" at look in: / ,but failed. So I 
could also not see if there are some wrong permissions. May be we could find 
the permissions in xterm, but I don't know how to do that.

You seem to know a lot about Linux. I would appreciate if you could find 
some time to help me further out.

Ok, I forgot you are root, when installing, so it did not find the
directory in the first place.
You need to have the package openmotif installed (I think), as this
package includes /usr/X11R6/lib/libXm.so.3 . If opera is not satisfied
with /usr/X11R6/lib/libXm.so.3 but rather likes to have libXm.so.2
instead, you can try to create a link with the name of libXm.so.2
pointing to libXm.so.3 .
Firstly, you should see, if openmotif package is installed. As root user do
the following:
rpm -q openmotif
If you get  something like "openmotif-2.2.2-111" as output, the package
is installed already. ONLY THEN, you would try do:
ln -s /usr/X11R6/lib/libXm.so.3 /usr/X11R6/lib/libXm.so.2
If the openmotif package is not yet installed, install that package from
your CD.
Then you should retry to install opera.
If there are other failed dependencies, you will have to install more
packages.
