cannot use keyboard other than language
I have a problem with automatic installation of SuSE Linux 8.1 and 8.2. I need to select czech language but english (US) keyboard map. Generated XML file contains <keyboard> <keymap>english-us</keymap> </keyboard> <language>cs_CZ</language> but the system is installed with czech keyboard map anyway. Is there a way to use czech language but english-US keyboard map? Michal Kubecek

I had the same problems with German keyboard Support while setting the language to US English. I think the workaround was on this forum a while back: you can simply set a sysconfig variable for the desired keymap. Unfortunately I have to go through the confirmation screen because of another problem (described in 'Keeping Partitions' recently). I need to use only existing partitions (and create filesystems in them). Next week I am going to try the update image which should solve the partitioning problem, if it works the confirmation screen won't be necessary any more. Michal Kubecek

Hello everyone.
I'm trying to configure a control file that destroy the existing primary
partition hda1 and install SuSE freed with the deletion.
To do that, I use <use>1</use> in the control file, but it doesn't seem
to work. However <use>5,6,7</use> works, I guest it is due to 1 is a
primary partition and 5,6,7 are logical units. It seems like autoyast
has problems deleting a primary partition. Or not?

Hello everyone. It seems that autoyast2 have several lacks in deleting and creating partitions when installing SuSE. So, I wonder if it is possible pre-create partitions before (for example, with fdisk) and specify which partitions to use (to format and install) in the control file.
