Defaulting to DE keyboard and runlevel 3, also DHCPTimeout bug? (SuSE 8.2)
Hi folks - I'm having a problem with the autoinstaller ignoring configuration choices I've made with the "yast2 autoyast" configuration editor: - Keyboard defaults to German, during the install and even after I get X up and running, have to edit the XF86Config file by hand to fix this. (I've set the keyboard to en_US in autoyast of course). - Regardless of what I pick in the autoyast runlevel editor, the freshly-installed system always starts in console mode (init 3). - I've picked "local time" in autoyast, but the installer always defaults to Zulu on the hardware clock. Not a big deal, but why is YaST2 ignoring directives from my autoinstall XML file? - Setting a value for DHCPTimeout in /info on my network install CD causes the system to immediately abort after trying eth0 (the whole purpose is to reduce the timeout so we can get to eth1, eth2, eth3, etc., a little more quickly, right?) Thanks in advance for any help out there! ----------------------------------------------------------- Robert Giles Group System Administrator SPD/ARL:UT (512) 835-3077 Fax (512) 490-4244
