Re: [suse-autoinstall] Failure in confirm mode
This is no bug. And it is intended to work so. If you need the second proposal page with misc. hardware then you mostly dont need the autoinstallation at all!
Anas
Why? The misc. hardware selections are exactly the selections that change from PC to PC (because of differing hardware). Language and software selection on the other hand seem to be the parameters you really don't want to change when installing a group of PCs, i.e. they benefit the most from autoinstallation (especially the time-consuming software selection). When people ask about why the "load/save package selections" feature of previous suse versions is no more, they get the answer (not from Suse AFAIK, but from other list members) that autoinst fills that role now. Well, obviously this is not the case then. Holger.

If you look at it this way, then indeed it might be usefull. In fact it would be easy to just add the hardware screen after the system is installed. If anybody else is interested in such a feature, please stand up and vote! :)

This is something completly different and I am not sure where those people come up with such ideas. Autoinstallation is _not_ intended for the normal user. It is more intended for the system administrator and those who actually know what they are doing like the participents on this mailing list. Autoyast is not a solution for his problem. The solution is IMO to provide such functionality in yast. Because of various reasons, this feature did not make it to the final and for sure it will be available in later releases. Anas
