searchable mailing list archive available [was Re: Problems customizing an install CD]
I found a searchable archive of this list at <http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=suse-autoinstall>. The list FAQ also mentions Google: Prepend your search by "autoinstall site:lists.suse.com" (without quotes). The searchable archive at <http://www.netsys.com/#l#/index.html>, which is mentioned in the FAQ, is temporarily unavailable since 2003-10-07.
During autoinstall on a Compaq DL360, I get the following error: Error Occurred while installing GRUB GRUB version 0.93 (640K lower/3072K upper memory) <stuff about tab completion> grub> root(hd0,0) Filesystem type is reiserfs, partition type is 0x83 grub> install --stage2=/boot/grub/stage2 /grub/stage1 d (hd0,0) /grub/stage2 0x8000(hd0,0) /grub/menu.lst Error 15: File not found grub> quit (I typed that in by hand, so excuse any typos) If I choose OK and have it retry, I can accept the offered defaults and install continues just fine. Any ideas what's wrong? Does hd0,0 need to be adjusted for the fact that my hard drive shows up on /dev/ida/c0d0 (I hand-editted the xml to get the partition table correct since the gui doesn't offer a way to enter custom drive types) Thanks
