[opensuse-autoinstall] Looking for info / tips /advice / HOWTO on process of debugging an install
Hi List, I've been looking around for help on debugging. Haven't found much in the archives. In Uwe's FAQs I found: -------- 2.2 How do I get a console during the installation and where are the Logfiles? For a textconsole press CTRL+ALT+F2. YaST Logfiles can be found in /var/log/YaST2/. The y2log contains the most information about what autoyast is doing. You can use scp to copy the files to another machine. -------- Is that it? Or does someone out there have some hot tips? the log files are very important and contain most of the information. If you want to debug scripts you have added to your profile, you might want to try the debug boolean for that script: http://www.suse.de/~ug/autoyast_doc/createprofile.scripts.html -- ciao, Uwe Gansert Uwe Gansert, Server Technologies Team SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Markus Rex, HRB 16746 (AG Nürnberg) Business: http://www.suse.de/~ug -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-autoinstall+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-autoinstall+help@opensuse.org
