[opensuse-autoinstall] Use Autoyast as default boot option for OpenSuse installation
Hello, I'm trying to modify openSuse 11.1 installation to open my autoyast configuration instead of the normal installation. Is it possible? Where should i find more information? Thanks. -- Leonardo Luiz Padovani da Mata barroca@gmail.com "May the force be with you, always" "Nerd Pride... eu tenho. if I understand you question correctly, this: http://www.suse.de/~ug/AutoYaST_FAQ.html#a1 should answer it -- ciao, Uwe Gansert Uwe Gansert, Server Technologies Team SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Markus Rex, HRB 16746 (AG Nürnberg) Business: http://www.suse.de/~ug -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-autoinstall+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-autoinstall+help@opensuse.org
Actually, editing media/boot/i386/loader/isolinux.cfg, adding "autoyast=file:///autoconf.xml" and regenerating the iso again works fine. It automatically loads the autoconf.xml without any boot option selected. Thanks. Btw, the gmail could not handle the return address when subscribing to this list, i had to use an external mail tool to subscribe. 2009/5/12 Uwe Gansert <ug@suse.de>:

Hey Uwe, how are you? I'm confused about the differences, during the installation process, for autoyast.xml and control.xml files. If i want to skip some configuration steps where should i add the option? In the documentation: http://www.suse.de/~ug/autoyast_doc/overviewandconcept.html "A configuration file (referred to as "control file") is created using existing configuration resources. The control file can be easily tailored for any specific environment. " It's not clear if you are talking about autoconf.xml or control.xml. Thanks. 2009/5/12 Leonardo L. sorry for the confusion. In 99% of the cases I'm talking about the autoyast profile and not about control.xml The control.xml file should not be changed. -- ciao, Uwe Gansert Uwe Gansert, Server Technologies Team SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Markus Rex, HRB 16746 (AG Nürnberg) Business: http://www.suse.de/~ug -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-autoinstall+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-autoinstall+help@opensuse.org
