Hi everybody,
I'm trying to install SLES9 on SunFire V40z with 4 CPU's and 8 GB RAM ;=)) (cool machine...). So far, so good. I 've some problems when i want to install vi network. I've boot from cd and put some parameters which i know from 32 Bit maschines. insmod=tg3 (for bcm5700) hostip=192.168.3.2/24 gateway=192.168.3.254 install=http://192.168.1.10/sles9a autoyast=http://192.168.1.10/install/amd.xml. The problem is that my client could not find this server, but when i use yast manually to find this server it works ! I really don't understand what's going on. Thank you very much for any advice...

Well, it seems the network device is not configured correctly. look on the 3rd console and see if linuxrc complains and make sure you load the right network module.
