SLES10.1 autoinstall hangs at creating initrd
Hi, I am trying to install SUSE 10.1 by network method and NFS and autoyast2 are fine. But SLES10.1 autoinstall hangs at creating initrd. THere is anyone had experience as that? It will be appreciated if anyone can provide ressolution for it. hongbin
I ran into it when I tried to use the auto generated xml file from an installed system. I got past it by creating the xml from scratch. -----Original Message----- From: hp9 [mailto:hp9@ornl.gov] Sent: Friday, September 08, 2006 9:26 AM To: suse-autoinstall Subject: [suse-autoinstall] SLES10.1 autoinstall hangs at creating initrd Hi, I am trying to install SUSE 10.1 by network method and NFS and autoyast2 are fine. that's hard to say without a log file but it might be a problem with the installation source. The initrd creation fails too if only a few/none packages were installed. -- ciao, Uwe Gansert Uwe Gansert, Server Technologies Team SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, Maxfeldstrasse 5, D-90409 Nuernberg, Germany Business: http://www.suse.de/~ug now playing The Retrosic - descent into hell
