However, after the install, the soundcard is not detected. Is the soundcard autodetection depend on what packages are installed? I have the following within the software tag:

After the machine is built, is the sound card detected if you do yast2 sound add I tend to add the sound card in a post install script as I find this works better, but I must admit, I've not tried configuring it during the autoyast process with the latest code. -- Simon Crute IS&T.
