[opensuse-autoinstall] cups configuration for OpenSuse 11.1
Hi, its looks like that on OS 11.1 cups aka the printer devices can not be configured. yast clone_system nor yast autoyast provide/give a printer configuration. According to bugzilla the problem is fixed in yast-printer v2.18 but I have 2.17 OS 11.1 Update state as of 2009/11/16 has version yast2-printer-2.17.48-2.5 which does not allow to configure the printer. Right. Autoyast support made it to SLES11, but it was too late for openSUSE 11.1, I suppose. However, feel free to use YaST:Head repository, which builds 2.18.X packages (11.2 patchlevel) for openSUSE 11.1 too. Here's URL: http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/YaST://Head/openSUSE_11.1/ With 11.2, printer configuration is both in autoyast GUI (yast autoyast) and in clone_system.
BTW: Can I use the profile section from OS 10.3 installation since there the printer can be configured for autoyast.

Hello Hajo, as Henrik Schmidt mentioned in his mail from 7.1.09 http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-autoinstall/2009-01/msg00032.html config settings from 10.3 unfortunately don't work. I experienced this too in april 2009 (posted also on the mailing list).
