I want to create an autoyast config file from my system - is there any way to import the complete system configuration?
They removed the clearly understood "clone system" when sles9 came out.. but you can still do it. Start yast2, under Misc choose Autoinstallation, then Under "tools" choose "create reference profile." Now comes the completely non-intuitive part... do NOT check the boxes of the things you want cloned into the resulting xml file. If you check it, it then makes those bits "reference" settings. So basically, if you just leave everything unchecked, and click the "create" button, it should clone your system. You'll go back to the previous display and can now look at things like partitioning, or software, and see that it's set to the system's settings. Then you can save the file from the "file" menu. -- Mike Marion-Unix SysAdmin/Staff Engineer-http://www.qualcomm.com Alcohol and Calculus don't mix. Never drink and derive. ==> Another /. gem
