I can however establish a manual ftp connection, and I do have a working network connection via DHCP across a broadband ISP. My machine(s) crashes EVERY time without the updates. one is a Toshiba laptop satellite 2545cds and a desktop Asus a7v AMD 1 GHz, promise controller. I have resolved the a7v promise issues, but the GUI crashes a lot so I went back to a minimal install. I hope this can help you help me. I am frustrated, I have posted a support request to SuSE an have yet to hear back, and if I call their support it is long distance and there is no holding QUE so it is a shot in the dark to speak with anyone.
