my autoinstallation of SuSE 10.1 interrupts with an error message stating the the CUPS server could not be contacted. However, if I finish the installation I can setup the printers with yast2 in the same way as I did it in the autoyast configurator and do not face any problems.

I do face the same problem and did already report it as bug to bugzilla. It seems to appear, if one installs lpd printers.

Actually, I'm trying to install to two lpd printers, but the autoinstallation procedure does not work as expected.
