Hi Cameron,
If you look in the associated .pat file, at the bottom there's a list
of RPMS that are included with that pattern defined between the 'Prc'
delimiters. You could write a script to scrape that out if needed, but
as far as I know that's left as an exercise for the reader. :)
Best Regards,

Cameron,/suse/setup/descr directory there's a listing of .pat files. These are the pattern files. You should be able to 'cat' them out to view the details of each pattern. AFAIK, the bottom of each pattern file, holds a section for the packages to be installed: So 'cat xen_server-10-51.20.i586.pat' --> at the end you'll see: +Prc: xen xen-libs xen-doc-html xen-doc-pdf xen-tools xen-tools-ioemu bridge-utils xterm -Prc: These are the RPMs installed by this pattern. Also, this pattern has a Requirement: +Req: basesystem -Req: So now you'd need to cat base-10-51.20.i586.pat to determine what RPMs are installed by that pattern as well. I'm certain there's a way to develop your own patterns too, I just haven't figured that out yet. hth, - Peter >>> On Fri, Nov 10, 2006 at 3:10 PM, in message <45547A55.C30D.005B.0@novell.com>, "Cameron Seader" wrote: > ah found that sorry, > another question though. > Where can i find a list of what is included in each pattern? > Is there a command i can issue from the command line that will query for > this? > - Cameron > >>>> On Fri, Nov 10, 2006 at 12:07 PM, in message > <7c1574a90611101107l4f6af925xc0a3ce16c91443d6@mail.gmail.com>, "Lonni J > Friedman" wrote: >> On 11/10/06, Cameron Seader wrote: >>> >>> Greetings, >>> Where can i find a list of Patterns that i can use for SLE 10? >>> >>> - Cameron >> >> This question was answered several hours ago on this list.
