Thanks for the Answer, is there no way that I can use a Autoyast installation with the password from the original System? Regards Am Thursday 19 January 2006 12:53 schrieben Sie:
Hi,
the reference profile uses the crypted passwords of your reference system, but does not set the flag for encryption. Try using your crypted password from your reference system.

Hi List,
i have the following problem:
I created with the "Reference Profile Tool" an xml file. All works fine but after the installation I can't login with both automatic created users. What can be the reasons for this.
I use SLES9 without any SP.

Now I tested it with SLES8 and there it works. Mans that that AutoYast with SLES9 is not usable if I want the users and passwords also from the original System use? If anybody knows an way how I can use the old crypted passwords on the new System please let me know. Regards Am Thursday 19 January 2006 14:09 schrieb Michael Schulz:

Yes this I tried also but it doesn't work. I can not belive, that Novell or SuSE implement AutoYast whithout this feature. Regards Am Thursday 19 January 2006 17:34 schrieb Uwe Gansert:
