Kind of a silly question, but is there documentation anywhere that lists all of the valid values I can specify in <pattern> and <package> elements in the <software> section of the AutoYaST profile?
Thanks, Michael
I am wondering if there is a way to create profiles for YOU and RUG. Lets say I install 4 servers today and patch it with the latest patches today and then about 6 or 12 months down the road I want to install 4 more servers but I need the rpms/kernel's to match the original 4. Is there any mechanism in YOU and/or RUG that would allow this ?
Thanks
A different approach would be to create an additional resource on your installation server ( additional repository ) , mirror the latest version from a mirror side and add this local repository as an software repository to the installation.
Thus you would have at least 2 local repositories. * initial Suse installation repo * Mirrored update repo ( frozen )

you can take a look at /suse/setup/descr/patterns on the installation source
