[opensuse-autoinstall] Yast auto installation error codes
Hi All, I'm getting an occasional error when I install using autoyast. The error is Install program error code is 135 What does the error code 135 mean? I've searched the internet for error code definitions but no luck. The log files have no errors and stop after loading ncurses. The error occurs near the start of the autoinstallation process. Thanks Greg -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-autoinstall+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-autoinstall+owner@opensuse.org

but yast already started and the XML file was read? Then maybe your XML is not okay, like a missing 'config:type="list"' or so. Then yast crashes and that can lead to such an error. -- ciao, Uwe Gansert SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, HRB 16746 (AG Nürnberg) GF: Jeff Hawn, Jennifer Guild, Felix Imendörffer Home: http://www.suse.de/~ug - Blog: http://suse.gansert.net listening to: "Simple Machines" by Dismantled -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-autoinstall+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-autoinstall+owner@opensuse.org

if that is all, then it's not really much. Yast dies for a reason I don't know yet. Please pass Y2DEBUG=1 to linuxrc. I hope to see more in the y2log then. For the moment I'm in the dark but it's not autoyast related. Yast itself can not even start on your machine. do you force the ncurses UI by textmode=1? does it happen in QT too? looks like it something hardware dependent -- ciao, Uwe Gansert SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, HRB 16746 (AG Nürnberg) GF: Jeff Hawn, Jennifer Guild, Felix Imendörffer Home: http://www.suse.de/~ug - Blog: http://suse.gansert.net listening to: "Tunnel" by Kiew -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-autoinstall+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-autoinstall+owner@opensuse.org

I've attached my y2log with debug enabled.

Yes, we force textmode. I haven't tried it in QT yet.
looks like it something hardware dependent
The hardware is vmware ESXi4 and ESXi5. The problem doesn't occur when installing SLES10-SP1/2/3. It only started occurring with SLES11-SP1. I haven't tried it with SLES11-SP0. Thanks Greg
