Multi CD install cd reboots and re-installs after first CD
Goal: Unattended install of SUSE 9.1 I'm able to do a successful minimal install of SUSE 9.1. I've added the gcc group to the software list to verify that I have my archive cataloged correctly. After installing CD 1, the client machine reboots and starts the install process all over again. (variation of perpetual install loop I reported earlier today) How do I get autoyast to read the next CD? More importantly, how do I stop the client from rebooting? Has anyone done a multi-cd install successfully on SUSE 9.1? DT -- Dave Thacker Senior Systems Administrator Omni Hotels Reservation Center V:402-952-6535 F:402-334-8013 M: 402-981-4613 (24/7)
You have to diable network booting using the same config file you used to install the system. There is no way around that. Avoiding reboot can lead to all kind of problems with the kernel. Anas Dave Thacker wrote:
