What is the final reason for a reboot ? A far as i know you can configure the partition without a reboot. technicaly you are right. No reason to reboot after partitioning. But I integrate SuSE with autoyast into a toolsuite with a given process model. To fit this model best it would be nice to break an autoyast run into its steps and perform a reboot (on user request) after each step.
