As far as I understand, the =Sel field must have the filename as value. I.e, if the file is named myown.sel, then "=Sel: myown" must be specified. Additionally, the name must be added in the selections file in the same directory: ... SuSE-Documentation.sel Tcl-Development.sel X11.sel default.sel myown.sel
Then autoyast will be able to select it when you add it in the configure/ software tags. If you want to select it manually it should appear in the yast2 software menu under "Selections" when =Vis is set to true and the selections has been added in the selections file. Note: When you call yast2 from an installed system, yast2 will not read the selections file from the install source (NFS e.g., but from a cached directory, e.g. ./adm/YaST/InstSrcManager/IS_CACHE_0x00000001/DATA/descr/selection So you have to copy and add you selections there. If you want autoyast to add this selection during an automatic install, you must add your selections in the install source directory. <snip>
I've adjusted my Sel= to just Samba3 (I removed the 9.0 that I saw in another .sel file - my filename is Samba3.sel) I added Samba3.sel to my "selections" file. I did this both in my source directory and the cached directory. I restarted Yast. Still no go - my selection doesn't appear and I can't import the Samba3.sel file either. Any other tips?
