2011/4/14 Hans-Joachim Ehlers <HansJoachim.Ehlers@eumetsat.int>: Thanks for your quick response.
Are you familiar with autoyast ? I hope so! I'm an old autoyast user....
Are you going to do fresh installations or update existing systems ? I want to do a fresh installation.
For fresh installation:
- yast clone_system - Make a copy of the generated autoinst.xml - Fix the autoinst.xml so it can be used for other nodes. ( IP, hostname ... ) - Use this file for autoyast installations.
For testing - copy the autoinst.xml to ldap.xml and remove all stuff you think is not needed from ldap.xml - copy the autoinst.xml to samba-pdc.xml and remove all stuff you think is not needed from samba-pdc.xml - do a fresh installation of a Suse 11.4 - test your xml files via "yast /usr/share/YaST2/clients/ayast_setup.ycp setup filename=/.../ldap.xml ( analog for samba)
Or generate a dedicated xml for ldap and samba via "yast autoyast"
You can find my current testing files here: http://d4e.at/s4e2011/yast/ s4e_ldap.xml and s4e_samba.xml should be the interesting files. Thanks!

Hi!
Is it possible to use AutoYaST for an automaticly installation of a Samba PDC + openLDAP on openSUSE 11.4? If I configure all the services by just using YaST on an installed system, everything works fine. But now I want to deploy this setup.
