Why don't you just "lndir" the whole loopback-mounted ISO to some directory accessible by your installation server and create the "driverupdate" there?

Hi! Thanks for your advice! Just tested this workaround and it did the job. At least this saves me the disk space. Sometimes one gets so stuck that the obvious is left aside unnoticed. Nevertheless, I think there must be an actual solution using the means of linuxrc and autoyast. So, @all, if anyone has further advice on this it would be appreciated!!! Many thanks again to Manfred!
