I'm using the partitioning_advanced feature: http://www.suse.com/~ug/autoyast_doc/CreateProfile.Partitioning.html#id25521... to upgrade a collection of boxes to SLES10SP2 while keeping some of the filesystems intact. Two problems: 1) I have to add the two swap partitions on each system by hand after the install is complete. I can't find any syntax which would allow me to list the two partitions in the autoyast file, and they aren't picked up automatically by partitioning_advanced. 2) The new /etc/fstab uses "/dev/disk/by-id" names rather than simple device names like "/dev/sda1", even though I am using e.g: <partition> <format config:type="boolean">true</format> <mountby config:type="symbol">device</mountby> <mount>/var</mount> </partition> I think that (2) might be a known bug, although the following: https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=364793#c1 suggests that it should have been fixed in SP2. Any suggestions? Thanks. -- David Carter Email: David.Carter@ucs.cam.ac.uk University Computing Service, Phone: (01223) 334502 New Museums Site, Pembroke Street, Fax: (01223) 334679 Cambridge UK.
