Hi, no, we don't want to keep the SLES11 kernel, but we have to use the first kernel of SLES 12SP1. Bye, Peer On 23.10.18 10:55, Stefan Schubert wrote:
Hi, you can lock your existing kernel in the installed system ( zypper addlock ...). So it should not be updated while an upgrade. BUT another kernel will be installed in parallel and bootloader will take this new one. You can switch it off by unset multiversion = provides:multiversion(kernel) in the zypp.conf.
But be honest I would not suggest to keep the old kernel (espl. while an upgrade SLES 11SP4 -> SLES12SP1 ) but I am sure that you will have a reason for it. ;-)

Thanks,
is there a way to freeze the kernel at the upgrade prozess ? If updates are provided allways the latest patch level will be installed. We need a dedicated kernel. Can I pass this information, too ?

Hi,
is it possible to use autoyast to UPGRDAE a system (42.2 -> 42.3, or SLES 11SP4 -> SLES12SP1 ?
Any expires ?
How would be an upgrade be triggered ?
Hi, it is possible. Just pass autoupgrade=1 beside autoyast parameter. See https://en.opensuse.org/SDB:Linuxrc
