Hi, I'm trying to pass an md5-crypted passwd to grub via <global_entry> <key>password</key> <value>--md5 $1$PvC31/$.jvVgGSAyH2sfrvCa7oy40</value> </global_entry> The generated menu.lst contains password --md5 /$.jvVgGSAyH2sfrvCa7oy40 So I guess that AY somwhere considers $1 and/or $PvC31 like bash variables. Is there a way to protect the string inside the <value> tags so that it is transferred as is? cu, Frank -- Dipl.-Inform. Frank Steiner Web: http://www.bio.ifi.lmu.de/~steiner/ Lehrstuhl f.
