Are you familiar with autoyast ? Are you going to do fresh installations or update existing systems ? For fresh installation: - yast clone_system - Make a copy of the generated autoinst.xml - Fix the autoinst.xml so it can be used for other nodes. ( IP, hostname ... ) - Use this file for autoyast installations. For testing - copy the autoinst.xml to ldap.xml and remove all stuff you think is not needed from ldap.xml - copy the autoinst.xml to samba-pdc.xml and remove all stuff you think is not needed from samba-pdc.xml - do a fresh installation of a Suse 11.4 - test your xml files via "yast /usr/share/YaST2/clients/ayast_setup.ycp setup filename=/.../ldap.xml ( analog for samba) Or generate a dedicated xml for ldap and samba via "yast autoyast" Hth Hajo -----Original Message----- From: mpraunegger@gmail.com [mailto:mpraunegger@gmail.com] On Behalf Of Matthias Praunegger Sent: Thursday, April 14, 2011 3:28 PM To: opensuse-autoinstall@opensuse.org Subject: [opensuse-autoinstall] LDAP-Server Hi! Is it possible to use AutoYaST for an automaticly installation of a Samba PDC + openLDAP on openSUSE 11.4? If I configure all the services by just using YaST on an installed system, everything works fine. But now I want to deploy this setup.
