I've successfully autoyast'ed SuSE Pro 9.2 onto a number of machines with 3ware 9500-series RAID controllers without difficulty...it's recognized by the kernel, the correct modules (3w_9xxx.ko, which requires scsi_mod and maybe another) are loaded, etc. If the problem lies in installing the bootloader onto the controller card, well, that's one that I don't know how to solve. -----Original Message----- From: Phong Nguyen [mailto:phongn@gmail.com] Sent: Fri 3/4/2005 8:34 AM To: suse-autoinstall@suse.com Subject: [suse-autoinstall] Integrating 3ware drivers into autoyast? I will shortly be deploying SuSE Linux to a bunch of computers that use 3Ware 9500-series RAID controllers. For a variety of reasons we don't have an independant boot disks so we must boot off the RAID controller. Is there are way to integrate the drivers from 3ware into our autoyast system? Furthermore, 3ware claims that due to a bug in YaST a script (or series of scripts) must be run before YaST completes in the standard GUI install. Is anyone familiar with doing this? I see that there are sections on how to include shell scripts in the Auto Installer website but not on how I might include various drivers.
