I want to install some servers x86 with SLES9. I use autoyast procedure for auto-configuring the partionning, packages choice.. etc... but my goal is to include the configuration of ethernet interfaces and root password during the installation process... What's the code to include in my autoinst.xml file for enabling these purposes please ?
start "yast2 autoyast". go to "Security and Users" -> "User Management". Click the "configure" button (bottom right). A GUI will be shown. Choose "Set Filer" -> "System Users" (bottom right). You will see a list of system users incl. root. Click on the root user and on edit. Set the root password. Click Accept and Finish. Select "View"->"Source" from the menu. You will see the XML code for the root user configuration. Do the same for the network device. -- ciao, Uwe Gansert Uwe Gansert, Server Technologies Team SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, Maxfeldstrasse 5, D-90409 Nuernberg, Germany e-mail: uwe.gansert@suse.de, Tel: +49-(0)911-74053-0, Fax: +49-(0)911-74053-476, Web: http://www.suse.de
