[opensuse-artwork] Artwork Proposal: Standing Geeko
I have been toying with ordering a stand-up cutout Geeko to use at some events. See for what I mean here: http://www.partystandups.com/ Problem, we don't have any standing Geeko. The only real Geeko we have is a horizontal Geeko. Nice, but doesn't really give much flexibility for a more fun and interactive type Geeko. Anyone interested in coming up with a more 3D action type Geeko that we can use to promote the spirit of our beloved Geeko? I thought the drawing would have to be similar to official Geeko ! -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+owner@opensuse.org

Could be. Up to you as an artist :-) I'm trying to not be too specific about what the design idea should be because I don't want to interfere with that creative process you all have. You have the flexibility to think outside the box and come up with some really nice action-type figures that bring some life to our Geeko. I'm not looking for a logo re-design, so logo conformity isn't applicable here as long as the life-like Geeko does not portray openSUSE in some negative way. That's more along the lines of what I was thinking, yes. This was done by Carlos Ribeiro who is busy these days. As I understand it, he took a screenshot of one of Novell's existing Geeko videos and built an image based on that in Blender. Of course, in this case, this is a half-body image. For cutout image, we'd need full-body including legs and feet to make it look like Geeko is standing in the booth with us. :-) Bryen -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+owner@opensuse.org

As far as I can tell, all of the Geekos in the builder are really pretty much same shape. Just add/modify clothing and props. This Geeko wouldn't be optimal for a cutout because of how far the tail extends. I'm looking for something a little more "kid-friendly" something that makes visitors want to pose for a picture with Geeko kind of thing. Something a little warmer and inviting. This particular Geeko style rocks, for sure, but feels a little too "edgy." :-) Bryen -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+owner@opensuse.org
