Think we should make the things here on the list. There are some open tasks for the art-team 1. the design for business cards http://en.opensuse.org/Art_Team/Working_pages/business_cards @Chris think ur proposal ist not really acceptable, u should change the colors of geeko and the text to grey or white so they are used in the bootsplash. Maybe there are others interested to make proposals for it? Think the best is not use the actual style of the distribution because u have to change it with every release thats contra-productive. 2. there is in 2 months the worl largest Installparty called Flisol. They need some posters and things there. I would use the posters they jimmac created once https://forgesvn1.novell.com/svn/opensuse-art/trunk/00assets/poster/ http://gitorious.org/opensuse/art I transleted them a few months ago fo miumiento from italy to to italian. Maybe weshould do the same with them in catalan. A second thing I think we need posters for SUSE Studio, openFATE and some other things in the same style too. br gnokii

I think we should have at least one more meeting for discussing some key things like the process for requesting artwork.
There are some open tasks for the art-team
1. the design for business cards

+1 I like the idea, however the green of the SUSE part of openSUSE doesn't play well with the background nor the text in black does (too dark).
Maybe there are others interested to make proposals for it?

Maybe we could have more than one business card style.

+1 Btw, I think we should use minimal colors on background. Art looks so great on business card white/light background. This would keep the printing costs in check too. Atleast in here, they charge for printing more colors and depending on how much color you use. -- Krish -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+help@opensuse.org

Piotr nice work. Like the idea but on the end I dont know why u not use FifthLeg Font? Take a look or the other posters. Use the green background from them and the black line on the bottom. So that it looks more familiar with that. I cant import ur pdf in inkscape it crashes, I dont know what it is so that I cant show u what I mean. and on the end I hope the photos are free ;)

Well, I thought that they're clearer because there's a lot of text on the poster.

It was originally in Polish and it was supposed to be printed, but the plan failed. So I made it in CMYK in Corel and Photoshop, so that the printing house wouldn't be moody. But I think that a couple of hours will be enough to remake it in Gimp. About photos - I got them from Novell (Polish one) for those posters. If there's a need I can ask for official statement that they agree to use it. I prepared a booklet of his time - but it is not translated. The brochure is made in Scribus. http://my.opera.com/dragonzone/blog/2009/05/16/broszura-opensuse .
