[opensuse-artwork] Any design for sweater please?
Hi, all, I plan to produce some (<= 20) openSUSE sweater/mug for Chinese openSUSE lovers (preordered on forums). So anyone can tell which pattern I can use? It better be a recent one like the design for 12.3 is really suitable for a black sweater, XD. PS: do I need authorization from here or some other people? if it is, please tell me who I can talk to... Anyone is welcome to take the artwork from GIT and restyle it. If you need help making the graphics, let us know. Also, if you create a new piece of artwork, we ask that you include the sources into GIT after that. If you need help uploading sources, let us know as well. -- Andy (anditosan) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+owner@opensuse.org

Hi, Andy, Yep. I look around the git and didn't find what I need. So I just created one (maybe you've alredy seen it on G+): https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-qHf9sLArBl0/UT3L46yTA7I/AAAAAAAAAjw/pdhrX... And here's the source: https://github.com/marguerite/openSUSE-zh-artwork/blob/master/sweater/sweate... This is my Git of openSUSE artwork for Chinese community (As there's only one self-learned fresh "designer" in Chinese community, this one can be taken as official for our community). I would like to merge the things into our main repo. But the repo is too big for me to checkout...I never successed. And I don't how to partially checkout a big item from our repo either (too fresh to git). So can you please help checkout and pick the ones you think is "fair enough" to be merged? Help appreciated. I perally think it is a good looking hoodie :D Maybe you could post the sources to a dropbox, box.net account, give us the link, we download it and one of us uploads it to GIT for you. -- Andy (anditosan) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+owner@opensuse.org

Hi, Andy, save this as "sweater.svg": https://raw.github.com/marguerite/openSUSE-zh-artwork/master/sweater/sweater... Github supports download if it's small enough, this one is just 21KB. Recently I'm trying to find a manufacturer online and produce a sample suit. I wish I can take orders if I can make it happen. But I have to warn you: Although this stuff is really cheap in China (but high quality, of course it has to be a Chinese who deal with them), and I of course make no profit from it, but: 1. The charge for oversea shipment might be higher than the price of the sweater itself. (USD <= 16.09 for the clothing, USD 47.49 for the shipment, I searched FedEx with Linux Foundation as address; and there's a cheaper plan from China Post, USD 25.5 for the shipment, but US citizen may doesn't trust China Post...) 2. There's no safer way between us to pay and receive. As it's a long way to go, I can't ask you to prepay, But I can't afford the cost if you refuse to pay. Paypal might be an option, but unluckily in China it doesn't allow me to cash such little amount out... So it might be a good idea that you find enough people can produce it in USA with my blueprint. or find enough people to lower the shipment fee. Aha, seems I'm too serious... Just have a lot of fun! curious ebay shipments are so low :-(

paypal is the best. It can cancel the payment if you don't receive the object. and Europe is interested also. I'm pretty sure SuSE knows cheep t-shirt makers and have optimal system jdd -- http://www.dodin.org http://jddtube.dodin.org/20120616-52-highway_v1115 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+owner@opensuse.org

Maybe Ebay can pre-store something in the destination, have a universal cheap shipment system for itself, or the amount is really large instead of a point-to-point shipment. Actually Chinese people usually ask people come back from outside to take something in because of the shipment is much too dear.

Paypal is good...but I can't get the payment actually...You can't withdraw as much as you, as often you can (maybe different in US/EU, but paypal has a local dealer here). They are just numbers stored in my account... I'm glad you like it. Yes, Henne has already contacted me to see if we can make it official and listed on openSUSE shop. And my answer is: yes, absolutely yes, definitely yes. You could also make the same sweater in our online shop which is spreadshirt based. This was the proceeds would go to the openSUSE project and we would have cooler stuff in the shop. Ask me off-list for details :) Henne -- Henne Vogelsang http://www.opensuse.org Everybody has a plan, until they get hit. - Mike Tyson -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+owner@opensuse.org
