[opensuse-artwork] Any plans for Fedora-style Daytime theme?
Hey, I was using Fedora 8 the other day and noticed that they change the desktop wallpaper color depending on what time of day it is. For example, in the morning, it's in the colors of the sunrise, it goes to a full blue color theme in the day, to darker theme at night. Are there any plans for this? I'm looking in to how they do this. -- Kevin "Yo" Dupuy | Public Mail <kevin.dupuy@opensuse.org> | Yo.media: 225-590-596 Swift Change for a Green Future: Kat Swift for President www.VoteSwift.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+help@opensuse.org

Sounds cool to me :) My old VAIO did this back in 2000, but it had a landscape, which is more suited than an abstract wallpaper for this particular goal. I would say go for it, it shouldn't hurt anybody. -- Charles A. Hi. The time-aware wallpaper is in SVN[1], but still pondering about including it in the release. The graphic requires PNG as JPEG/JFIF will always show horrible artifacts. But these PNGs are big and I'm not sure this feature justifies shipping 20 megs worth of a wallpaper. Any hints on how this can be on KDE is appreciated.
