[opensuse-artwork] Why does the KDM theme 12.1 not have a user list?
I really liked the KDM theme in 11.4 which had a very nice user list. The theme in 12.1 does not have a user list, which I believe is a regression. It is 2011 and most operating systems have user lists in their logon managers instead of requiring users to remember their username unless they are on a corporate domain. I wish I saw the new theme before the release but I didn't because I didn't uncheck the auto-login checkbox when I install the beta in a VM. Can someone who was involved in creating the theme explain why this decision was made? Most other distributions (e.g. Fedora) do not provide a KDM theme with userlist, anymore. This theme is just not made for that. But I was thinking about setting up an alternative theme that supports this feature. Hopefully I will get it up within the next few weeks.
