Hello, first let us take care about the importanst thing - build a art-team. Whatever could be it never take place with people they take care of it ;)

As I was suggesting in irc,

• Create a place on the lines of http://gnome-look.org (may be call it - http://en.opensuse.org/arts )

There exists such a place http://suse-art.org/ Its the same owner like gnome or kde-look, Frank Karlitschek. U had the chance to met him on conference.

• Integrate this page with the rest of the wiki for the sign-in, auth. etc.
• Allow anyone to upload any pictures or wallpapers they made
• Have RSS updates (or) mailing lists for any wallpapers (logos/ images/ themes) added , which will notify about new / modified images
• A team of moderators (volunteers) can reject any wallpaper (if found to contain porn / offensive pictures)
• Other glamorous items like, Voting / ranking / download stats etc. can also be proivded if possible

But when u look on suse-art there are many things that not take care about guidlines or "porn" ;)

P.s: (Shouldnt there be some software already doing most of these ? gallery ? )

Yes there existing software for doing such things

I take this initative not for create more wallpaper or such stuff but rather than give people a better change to contribute to openSUSE. br gnokii
