[opensuse-artwork] openSUSE Logo on Wallpapers
Hi all. I have re-read: http://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Artwork_brand and noticed that the logo has to be either SUSE green, white or black. SUSE green is only allowed on white background. This means we have to stick with: http://minus.com/lblfJ8NedFIeWB and/or http://minus.com/lMTOrvhOCe7Ji Greets Marcus -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+help@opensuse.org

Hi all.
I have re-read:
I think this is only for the full chameleon. The round head only have much more allowed: "The geeko head is the secondary identity. The round button can be freely colored and combined with other graphical elements to form spinners or project logos. It is also allowed to give it custom color treatment. " http://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Artwork_brand#Buttons that said I like the green version (the blue is not bad neither!) thanks jdd -- http://www.dodin.net http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xgxog7_clip-l-ombre-et-la-lumiere-3-bad-pig... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FGgv_ZFtV14 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+help@opensuse.org

Yes, that's true. I was writing about the openSUSE logo text which is part of the official logo. Greets Marcus -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+help@opensuse.org
Dear jdd.

Ok, should we start another poll on which color to use? For reference, the blue Design is called Azul: http://minus.com/lb1LhQIiJAXi9 The green design is called Verde: http://minus.com/lMTOrvhOCe7Ji @jdd, could you perhaps set up a poll about the color choice on connect, so we can see if that works out? just ask blue or green? we have similar example for both of them. I will ask votes from artwork and marketting only (and just say it's a test poll) done: https://connect.opensuse.org/pg/polls/read/jdd/14743/do-we-want-blue-or-gree... jdd -- http://www.dodin.net http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xgxog7_clip-l-ombre-et-la-lumiere-3-bad-pig... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FGgv_ZFtV14 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+help@opensuse.org

With the links I have sent you and the concept names. The poll for concept is already over as you know. Greets Marcus

yes. I made this very simple. we should be able to have some directions very soon. I'm new to this connect option. For example you hve to be very fast in setting the poll, as connect log you out in few minutes :-( jdd -- http://www.dodin.net http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xgxog7_clip-l-ombre-et-la-lumiere-3-bad-pig... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FGgv_ZFtV14 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+help@opensuse.org

Please open a bug on that issue and link it here for reference. The timeout shouldn't be that short. Greets Marcus -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+help@opensuse.org

I have just sent Robert a mail, asking if the usage of an openSUSE logo text like on this wallpaper: http://minus.com/ltCUKlX6D2YZR is also allowed. Keep you updated. yup, maybe we could leave the logo out completely (which is the common style on most other distros today, too) Greets Marcus -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+help@opensuse.org

why not. What I would like is something graphical that recall the distro version, like in old windows time, when the start menu displayed the windows verion. having to look at /etc/Suse... is awfull. but this do not have to be on the background constantly! I frequently do remote debugging (phone call, mailing lists...) and having a way to ask what version have the user is not that easy (often the user don't even have the version he think having) jdd -- http://www.dodin.net http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xgxog7_clip-l-ombre-et-la-lumiere-3-bad-pig... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FGgv_ZFtV14 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+help@opensuse.org

I would suggest to place that version e.g. within the startmenu, where it says openSUSE already atm (at least within KDE). Greets Marcus -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+help@opensuse.org
