[opensuse-artwork] Off topic - visual metaphor for 'free software'
Dear all, I apologize for using this list to ask a question, but given the fact that artists populate this grounds, I consider this might be a cool place to shop for this information. Generally speaking about 'Free Software', what would you suggest as an icon/logo to provide a visual metaphor for 'Free Software' ? Why I ask this... well, for a project I'm working to create a tiny information channel in Portuguese (since we lack them). Thanks in advance, Nelson Marques /* As cicatrizes lembram-nos de onde estivemos, mas não ditam para onde vamos */ -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+help@opensuse.org

Many people use the "GNU head" for that. If you want something more abstract try playing with "open" (ie: something like the Open Source logo, thin letters, an unlocked lock, an unfinished circle, ...). Greetings, -- Javier Llorente

I could also suggest the Copyleft logo. Greets Marcus
