[opensuse-artwork] How to share work?
Hi all, First I'd like to share an anecdote; I was very impressed with my first experience of OpenSUSE (13.1?). I was searching for a Linux distro (being a newbie), and I ended up booting live KDE. I think, in retrospect, one of the details that impressed me the most was the branding; I particularly appreciated the fact that the distro defaulted to using wallpapers that had the same background texture (on the various screens, DM login, etc.). I like what Uzair contributed here:
[opensuse-artwork] Created openSUSE wallpapers... From: Uzair Shamim <usershaman@xxxxxxxxx> Date: Wed, 4 Nov 2015 19:02:45 -0500 Message-id: <563A9CA5.1080301@gmail.com>

So, the question is: If I make something I wish to share with this list, what are the best places to upload the images? Can I share GIMP sources, and is there somewhere I can gzip it all together for convenience? Should I create an album somewhere (like imgur), and upload a gzip somewhere else (so people can glance at the work without DLing and extracting an archive)? There is a place on flickr that you can use for sharing images. It is quite another thing if you would like to have your images packaged for the distribution. However, a good place to get started is flickr. I don't necessarily think I'm going [or want] to get anything in the distribution, however I would like to share gzips because I think somebody here can do a better job with a concept I had. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+owner@opensuse.org

In that case you could upload them to our git repository. However, it is pretty bloated. I would recommend only uploading finished work and not try outs. For that, you could have your own git repo. You may need to ask for access from the administrators.
