Ping Pascal (Yaloki) or send an email to admin@ if you don't get a response. Maybe someone there knows the full details. Thanks! On Wed, 2012-07-18 at 11:47 -0500, Shayon Mukherjee wrote:

oh I see. Well I am not sure, if i can update/create any graphics. I will update if I can one soon :)
In my opinion, the artwork itself can be used the same for both badges and countdown banners. The only difference is that the countdown banner has a number superimposed on it that changes daily.
Shayon, perhaps you can look at the code that Pascal (yaloki) developed for our past countdowns and see if it can be enhanced to support three banners in sliding door effect? This would be a much more permanent and long-lasting contribution as we'll undoubtedly have many more events to countdown as we continue to grow as a community.
E.g., we're not counting down and drawing attention to the Greek openSUSE Camp or COSCUP-openSUSE. That can be remedied with more effective countdown software.

Actually both. I'm ok and looking for simple "going to" badge. Bryan is thinking about something bigger - countdown. So whichever we will get is fine :-D

Hi there,
I would love to help here. But I am not sure if we are looking for badges or countdown banners ? To my understanding we are looking for banners to go on the countdown site ?

We slso should be having countdown banners. The problem is we have three major things going on in the same general time period:
1. openSUSE 12.2 Release expected for September 4 2. openSUSE Summit September 21-23 3. openSUSE Conference October 20-23
All three really should have their banners posted now to begin the promotional blitz. But we don't typically run three banners. Would be nice if there was a way the banners could rotate in sliding fashion. But I don't think our current countdown software supports sliding banners.
Thoughts anyone?
